This low mileage 96 Caprice / Impala SS was bought from a gentleman in Fujairah in November ‘22 with 80,000 kms, since then I’ve only put on 1500 kms and spent over 160,000 AED upgrading and modernizing it. I’ve completely torn down the interior, engine bay, suspension, steering, emissions, and braking systems. Every single gasket has been replaced and fluids flushed and topped up. Items were obtained from Parts Geek, Etchus, Wheeler Fleet, Ebay, Restoration Parts Unlimited, and Rassbot. I have receipts of all parts and goods which were all brought from the US and shipped here via Shop&Ship. All OEM parts are AC Delco and all upgraded parts are from reputable GM-specific brands. The Engine & Differential have been upgraded by Clear Image Automotive in the US to include the cold air intake, Tri-Y headers, Sportsman exhaust system, and 3.42 gears. The exterior and interior have been upgraded with items from Rassbot & Etchus that include door sills, door pulls, fluid covers in the engine bay, and engine bay dress kit. The lower dash was broken so a new one was obtained from the US along with new front door panels. A new & retuned ECM with a TORQHEAD conversion from the US incorporates the upgrades and allows for smooth driving, shifting, and most importantly, activates the fans at lower temperatures to keep the engine cool. It’ll do 160km/hr in the summer without going over half on the thermostat. The brake system has been completely replaced with stainless steel brake lines, PowerSTOP front & rear calipers, rotors, & pads, and a new OEM master cylinder. The tires were replaced in March ‘24.
